Applications are now invited for a suitably qualified Tuvaluan Citizen to fill one vacant position of a Project Manager within the Department of Waste Management.
JOB PURPOSE:
Coordination, monitor and manage all waste-related project activities on time within budget and scope provided. Provide summary on project budget, activities progress, update and recommendations.
MAIN DUTIES & OUTCOMES:
- Ensure that all waste-related project activities are delivered on-time, within the scope and within the allocated budget
 - Assist and guide relevant officers and key stakeholders who closely associated with the project to actively participate and contribute to the execution of project activities on set timelines.
 - Ensure resource availability and allocation of each project
 - Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project cost using appropriate verification techniques
 - Regular reporting to project management unit nationally, regionally and internationally with clear correspondences, briefing and update to the head of the department
 - Measure all projects progress, performance, gaps and recommendations to improve through appropriate tools and techniques.
 - Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with project key stakeholders as well as other concern staff members.
 - Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals of each project.
 - Travel to project location (outer islands) to physically assess the progress and the level of achievement and reliable of each activity delivered.
 - Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process map to document needs and ease of reporting.
 - Perform other duties assigned by the head of the department from time to time
 
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:
- At least a Diploma in management or other related fields.
 - At least one year of related experience
 - Speak and write both in Tuvaluan and English
 - Healthy and energetic
